How To Test The Shrinkage Ability Of PE Stretch Film

Most of the time, PE stretch film is needed for use, we can carry out some testing work before use, through some related testing work can know its shrinkage ability, so how should we test the shrinkage ability?
1. Cut 20 samples with a width of 15.0mm horizontally and vertically along the shrink film respectively, that is, 10 groups of samples horizontally and vertically, and each group of samples is used for the test of heat shrinkage force, cold shrinkage force and shrinkage rate respectively. The length of the sample shall ensure that there is an effective length of 100mm between the fixtures.
2. Test the thickness of PE tensile film sample, test at least 3 points, and take the average value.
3. Two round holes are formed on the surface of the sample with a special sample maker to facilitate the clamping of the sample.
4. Take any three sets of samples horizontally or vertically, respectively, and clamp them to the three sets of fixtures of the equipment. Each set of fixtures includes two sample fixtures equipped with force value sensors and displacement sensors respectively. The clamped specimen should be completely flat and the force value sensor should not be stressed.
5, set PE tensile film test temperature, end temperature and other test parameters, click the start test option, the test begins.
6. When the temperature in the equipment heating chamber reaches the test temperature, the sample will enter the chamber automatically, and the test will start to time, and the sample will be shrunk by heat and generate heat shrinkage force. When the heat shrinkage force reaches the set conditions, the sample will automatically exit the chamber, and the force generated thereafter will be cold shrinkage force. The equipment automatically records and displays in real time the thermal shrinkage force, cold shrinkage force and shrinkage rate of the sample from entering the cabin to the end of the test. At the end of the test, the equipment shows the larger shrinkage rate, heat shrinkage force and cold shrinkage force of each group of samples.
