What Are The Advantages Of Good Hand Wrap Film?

Hand wrap film, also known as stretch film or heat shrink film, is a PVC wrap film with PVC as the base material and DOA as the plasticizer. So, what are the characteristics of a good stretch wrap film? Let me briefly share with you.
1. Appearance: good quality stretch wrap film, soft texture, natural color, good transparency. By placing the newspaper 20 cm below the stretch film, the text above can be clearly seen without affecting reading. Slightly poor stretch film, due to the addition of plasticizers, titanium dioxide, etc., can make the surface look bright and have a thick feeling, but the transparency is poor and easy to distinguish.
2. Stretch: Stretch is the ability of the wound film to produce elastic elongation after being subjected to tension, which is itself a feature. If the quality is good, the length will be extended after stretching and will not break within a fixed range (300%-700%). The poor quality of the tensile film has two characteristics: (1) the tension is not uniform, some areas are obviously thinner during the stretching process, and some areas are almost unchanged. 2, the drawing rate is low, the stretching process will appear tensile phenomenon.
3. Self-adhesive: Self-adhesive refers to the adhesion between the stretched and wrapped hand wrap film, which can make the packaged items firm and not loose during the stretching and wrapping process. Self-adhesive is affected by various external factors such as humidity, dust and pollutants. A good stretch film has a self-adhesive ㎡ of about 1N/c㎡, wrap an ordinary egg with a stretch film, and press an area the size of your thumb to lift it. Poor quality stretch film can not achieve this effect.
4. Toughness (puncture resistance) : Toughness refers to the comprehensive properties of stretch wound film resistance to puncture and tear. The risk level of tear resistance must be taken horizontally, that is, perpendicular to the direction of the machine operation, because tearing in this direction will loosen the package, even if the longitudinal tear occurs, the package can still be held firm. Therefore, the better the toughness of the stretched film, the better the quality. Poor quality tensile films usually have low toughness. You can wrap some water in the stretch film and prick it with a ballpoint pen. If there is no water leakage at a depth of 5 cm, it indicates that the stretch film has good toughness.
5. From the tightness of the stretch film, it can be seen that the good stretch film is tightly wrapped, while the bad stretch film is loose and easy to break.
6. From the color point of view: a good hand wrap film has good permeability, and is transparent and white from the point of view of the object
