Yang Xu, secretary-general of the Adhesive Association, told reporters that in 2011, the production of adhesive tapes in my country was 14.8 billion square meters, an increase of 8.8%, and the sales volume was 29.53 billion yuan, a sales increase of 9.4%. In the next few years, the domestic adhesive tape market space is still very large. Among them, the annual growth rate of general-purpose products (such as BOPP adhesive tape, PVC electrical adhesive tape) is expected to be 4% to 5%. The annual growth rate of a number of high-tech products such as high-temperature adhesive tapes, high-performance protective film tapes and PET adhesive tapes is expected to be 7% to 8%. The higher requirements for the product characteristics and new functions of adhesive tapes in the medical and health, electronic and electrical industries will promote the in-depth development of the domestic adhesive tape industry.

Adhesive tape companies are currently very optimistic about the pressure-sensitive tape and hot-melt adhesive market.
